RCMP seeking public’s help following attempted break and enter

The Prince District RCMP is asking for the public's help following an attempted break and enter at a residence in St. Roch, PEI.

On August 31, 2022, at approximately 9:30 p.m., members of the Prince District RCMP responded to a report of an attempted break and enter at a residence on Clark Road in St. Roch. It was reported to police that a number of individuals attempted to gain entry to a home that was occupied by two residents at the time, and were unsuccessful. The suspects discharged a firearm towards the residence, and then fled the scene.

The PEI RCMP Forensic Identification Unit, RCMP Police Dog Services, RCMP Major Crime Unit, and Prince District Joint Forces Operations Unit attended the scene. No one was injured during the incident.

Police are asking anyone who may have information about the incident, or who lives in the area and may have witnessed suspicious activity during the evening of August 31, to contact the Prince District RCMP at 902-436-9300. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
