Police charge Lunenburg County man with drug trafficking

The South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit has charged a Middlewood man after an investigation into cocaine trafficking in Lunenburg County.

On February 5, 2022, at 2 p.m., following an investigation into cocaine trafficking in Lunenburg County, police executed a search warrant at a home in Middlewood, Nova Scotia. Police arrested a 44-year-old man without incident. During the search of the home, police seized cocaine, methamphetamine, cash, weapons and electronic devices.

Jason Dalby, 44, of Middlewood, has been charged with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Failing to Comply with a Judicial Release Order, and one count of Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace. Dalby appeared in Bridgewater Provincial Court on February 7 and was remanded into custody. He will return to court on today for a bail hearing.

The investigation is ongoing.

Note: The South Shore Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit is comprised of members from the Lunenburg District RCMP and Bridgwater Police Service. This is the third time that Dalby has been charged with drug trafficking since December 7, 2021.
