On October 20, 2022, at 7:10 pm, Iqaluit RCMP received a report of an altercation that occurred at a local residence.
Officers arrived to find two female victims inside the residence who had sustained stab wounds. Both females were transported to Qikiqtani General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Robert Flaherty, 34, has been arrested and charged with two counts of Attempt Murder, one count of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, one count of Possession of Property Obtained by the commission of an offence under $5000, and one count of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.
Flaherty's next court appearance is scheduled for November 01, 2022 in Iqaluit.
