Drug seizure at Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport

Whitehorse RCMP has seized a significant amount of cocaine from a shipment at Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport.

On September 27, 2022, Whitehorse RCMP received a call about a suspicious package brought into Whitehorse in an air shipment. Routine checks led staff to believe that the contents of the package were suspicious. General duty officers attended and seized the package, which was found to contain a significant quantity of suspected cocaine.

This drug seizure is still under investigation, and at this point police are limited in the amount of detail that can be released to the public.
