Clarenville RCMP investigates rash of break and enters, asks public to report suspicious activities

Following a rash of recent break and enters, Clarenville RCMP is asking the public to report all suspicious activities, including suspicious people and suspicious vehicles.

So far this month, police have responded to reports of eleven separate break and enters. Six of those occurred at residential properties where homes were damaged and various items were stolen. The remaining break and enters occurred at commercial properties.

The stolen property includes:

  • A Savage bolt-action rifle
  • A Mossberg pump-action shot gun
  • Two Jonsered chainsaws
  • One Fender Telecaster electric guitar with a black body and a birch neck
  • One Gretsch electric guitar, black in color
  • One Ibanez electric bass guitar, sunburst finish
  • Three pairs of Klim snow pants
  • Two Klim snowmobile jackets
  • Two pairs of Klim gloves
  • One pair of Klim winter boots
  • One pair of Canada Goose winter gloves
  • FXR winter pants, jacket and gloves, all are black with white lettering
  • Various gaming systems, including a Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS and Sony Playstation 2 console, games and accessories.

Clarenville RCMP reminds residents to properly secure their properties, including outbuildings (sheds) and vehicles, especially when not at home. The investigations are continuing.
