Airdrie RCMP make arrest in indecent act investigation

On Nov. 27, 2022, at 8 p.m., Airdrie RCMP were called to Main Street in Airdrie to assist an Alberta Sheriff with a traffic stop. The vehicle had been stopped for a traffic violation; however, investigators determined that the driver was a person of interest in an indecent act investigation.

On June 11, 2022, Airdrie General Investigations Section began investigating allegations of a male having committed an indecent act and exposing himself at an Airdrie hotel. The alleged offences occurred when there were children swimming in the hotel pool.

A 65-year-old individual, a resident of Mission, B.C., has been charged with the following offences:

  • Indecent Act
  • Breach of Probation x2

The 65-year-old individual was brought before a justice of the peace and elected not to speak to bail. The individual is being held in custody and is to appear in Airdrie provincial court on Dec. 1, 2022. The individual was bound by a probation order at the time of the offence.
