Update: Driver of hit and run in Carbonear arrested and charged by Harbour Grace RCMP

A 61-year-old man was arrested and charged in relation to a hit and run collision that left a female pedestrian injured on the parking lot of Subway in Carbonear on October 30, 2021.

Following the investigation, including information provided at the scene and a number of tips received last week, the driver was identified and arrested on November 5, 2021.

He now faces a criminal charge for failing to remain at the scene of an accident resulting in bodily harm.

The man was released from police custody and is scheduled to attend court at a later date.
