Thorsby RCMP investigate rural break and enter

News release

On Dec. 6, 2021, at approximately 6 p.m., Thorsby RCMP responded to a residential break and enter on Range Road 31 near Pigeon Lake in Leduc County, Alta. that is believed to have occurred around 4 p.m.

Unknown suspect(s) forcibly gained entry to the rural gated property and broke into the residence. The home owner was not home at the time.

Items taken:

  • Custom built Remington 700, Calibre 22-250, Optic-Bushnell Elite 3500, 412x50, black Monte Carlo brand stock. Action is black with a 28" stainless fluted barrel
  • Bass guitar, four string, bright red in colour with a black pick guard, signed "Burton Cummings" and "Randy Bachman"
  • Mathews Reezon Compound Bow with matching soft case
  • Various items of hunting gear including binoculars, spotting scope and several trail cameras

The RCMP Forensic Identification Section attended the scene to assist, and Thorsby RCMP continue to investigate.
