The Pas RCMP respond to assault and seize drugs

On October 23, 2021, at approximately 5:05 pm, The Pas RCMP responded to a possible stabbing on Dufferin Street in The Pas. It was reported that there was a large group of people fighting and that someone had been stabbed. A description of the suspect was provided.

Officers attended and arrested the suspect. He was found to be in possession of approximately 28 grams of cocaine, 20 grams of individually wrapped crack cocaine and a Manitoba Warriors gang patch

A 26-year-old male victim was located near the scene and was treated and released by medical personnel. The victim had not been stabbed and declined to provide a statement to police.

Tyler Ballantyne, 30, of Moose Lake has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Failing to Comply. He was scheduled to appear in court on October 26, 2021, in The Pas.

The Pas RCMP continue to investigate.
