St Pierre Jolys officer and a bystander pull woman from Red River

On August 3, 2021, at 5:30 pm, St Pierre Jolys RCMP received a report of a female in distress on the bridge spanning the Red River on Provincial Road 305 in Ste. Agathe.

An officer attended and within minutes, the female was observed in the water being carried down stream in the Red River, struggling to stay afloat.

An officer on scene and a bystander jumped into the water and swam to the woman, bringing her back to shore. Once on shore, she was met by EMS and transported to hospital for further assessment.
