RCMP seeking witnesses following collision involving a motorcycle

The East Prince RCMP is seeking possible witnesses following a collision involving a motorcycle in Springfield, PEI.

On September 18, 2021 at approximately 2:40 p.m., members of the East Prince RCMP and Island EMS responded to a report of a collision between a motorcycle and a motorhome at the intersection of Route 2 and Freetown Road. The driver and sole occupant of the motorcycle was transported to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the motorhome failed to remain at the scene of the collision.

The motorhome is described as being beige and white or burgundy and grey in colour, and had an Ontario licence plate number. It was towing a grey SUV at the time of the collision.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has information that can help the investigation to call the East Prince RCMP at 902-436-9300. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

The investigation is ongoing.
