Harcourt, New Brunswick

News release

The Richibucto RCMP is seeking the public's help following a rash of break, enter and thefts in Harcourt, N.B.

In early July, police received several reports of break, enter and thefts in the Harcourt area. The incidents are believed to have occurred between June 25 and July 1, 2021 near Salmon River Road. The individual or individuals forcefully gained entry into 10 seasonal residences. All properties were unoccupied at the time of the thefts.

Some of the stolen items includes a red 3000-Watt Honda generator, two flat-screen televisions, a number of camping, construction and hunting tools, and a firearm.

"To help deter thieves from targeting your property, always check to ensure the valuables inside are removed from plain sight, doors are locked, and make sure to report any suspicious activity to police" said Cst. Julien LeBlanc with the Richibucto RCMP.

Anyone who has information about the break, enter and thefts, or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the Salmon River Road area between June 25 and July 1, is asked to contact the Richibucto RCMP at 506-523-4611. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca.

The investigation is ongoing.
