RCMP investigating vehicle collision on Hwy. 104

Inverness County District RCMP is investigating a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Hwy. 104 in Port Hastings.

At approximately 8:50 a.m. yesterday morning, police were notified of a motor vehicle collision on Hwy. 104 in Port Hastings at the rotary. Police, fire and EHS attended the scene where it was determined that an SUV had entered the rotary the wrong way where it collided with a transport truck.

The driver of the SUV, a 56-year-old man from Quebec, suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital in Halifax by Lifeflight. The driver of the transport truck was uninjured.

It was later learned that the driver of the SUV's injuries, while serious, were not life-threatening.

The investigation is ongoing.
