Inverness County District RCMP is investigating a fatal vehicle collision that occurred on Reeves St. in Port Hawkesbury.
At 7:30 a.m. on November 20, police responded to a report of a vehicle collision on Reeves St. Police, fire and EHS attended the scene where it was determined that a car had been travelling on Reeves St. and left the road and came to rest in a ditch.
The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 48-year-old Nunavut man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A collision reconstructionist attended and the investigation is ongoing. Reeves St. was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
