News release

Halifax District RCMP have arrested a 35-year-old man following a road rage incident in Eastern Passage.

At 7:30 p.m. on May 24, police were notified of a dangerous driving incident that occurred on Cow Bay Rd. A truck was heading southwest when it slowed down for people near the roadway. The car behind the truck started honking and tailgating. The car then passed the truck, and the driver of the truck had to brake quickly to avoid a collision. The truck pulled over to the side of the road. The driver of the car also pulled over and started yelling at the driver of the truck. Both vehicles got back on to the road and continued along Cow Bay Rd. The car then pulled over in a parking lot and the truck followed. The driver of the car got out of his vehicle and started yelling at the truck driver again. The driver returned to the car and left the area.

Police attended a home in Cow Bay and arrested the driver of the car. He was later released and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date to face charges of Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance and Breach of Probation.
