As a result of continued investigation by Prince Albert General Investigation Section, Lenny Sinclair from Sandy Bay, Saskatchewan has been charged with one count, second degree murder, section 235(1) of the Criminal Code, in relation to the death of 54-year-old Jacob Sewap from Sandy Bay.
Jacob Sewap was located injured after police responded to a report of an assault at a residence in Sandy Bay in late December, 2020. He died as a result of his injuries in early January 2021. Investigators have been working on this investigation since that time.
Lenny was arrested in Pelican Narrows on October 21, 2021. He will appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
