Mary’s Harbour RCMP continues search for Island Lady and crew

Today the RCMP in Mary's Harbour, with assistance of numerous partner agencies, continues to search for two missing fishermen and their vessel off the coast of Mary's Harbour.

Air Support provided by Provincial Air Services, equipped with trained spotters from the Civil Air Search and Rescue are continuing aerial grid searches.

The Canadian Coast Guard ship, Captain Molly Kool, is in the area and assisting the RCMP.

Divers with the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team and searchers with Deer Lake Ground Search and Rescue, equipped with a side-scan sonar device, are in Mary's Harbour and are expected to join in the search today.

The Motor Vessel Ocean Seeker of Kraken Robotics, equipped with advanced underwater equipment and under current contract with NL Hydro, is expected to arrive in Mary's Harbour this afternoon.

Mary's Harbour RCMP thanks residents of the community for their overwhelming support as police, with the assistance of partner agencies, continue the search for the two missing men.
