On Aug. 15, 2021, at approximately 3 p.m., Leduc RCMP received a report of an aggravated assault on Sparrow Drive near Airport Road. RCMP, Fire and EMS responded and located a victim of a serious assault. The victim, Patrick Ford (44) of Port Alberni, B.C. died as a result of his injuries. A female suspect was arrested at the scene.
A 33-year-old female of Lac La Biche, Alta. has been charged with second degree murder. Following a judicial interim release hearing, she was remanded to appear in Leduc Provincial Court on Aug. 19, 2021.
