On April 22nd, Souris RCMP responded to a house fire in Dingwells Mills along with fire departments from Souris, St. Peter's and Central Kings. Island EMS was also on scene for precautionary measures.
Route 2 was closed for some time as first responders tended to the fire and RCMP would like to thank the travelling public for their patience during the road closure.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire and the Fire Marshal's office is continuing its investigation into the cause.
