Fort Simpson RCMP received a call for service regarding a residential fire in the community. At approximately 7:30 am, June 29, RCMP attended the residence and found the home engulfed in flames.
Fort Simpson Fire Department attended and suppressed the fire. The house sustained major damage. No one was injured.
RCMP are investigating along with the Office of the Fire Marshall for the Northwest Territories. At this time, the investigation is in its infancy, and there has been no determination regarding the cause of the fire. The investigation continues.
