The RCMP-RNC Integrated Internet Child Exploitation (IICE) team has charged 32-year-old Rodolfo Henriques of Corner Brook with child pornography offences, following the seizure of child sex dolls.
In August of 2020, Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) contacted police and advised of the interception of a child sex doll that was destined for Mr. Henriques' Corner Brook residence. A search warrant was obtained and executed on his residence in September of 2020. Evidence acquired during that search and subsequent investigation has supported two Criminal Code charges of possession of child pornography against Henriques.
His first appearance to answer to these charges is scheduled for January 11, 2022, in Corner Brook Provincial Court.
RCMP NL advises the general public that child pornography can take on several forms, most commonly known and understood as sexual images and/or videos of children. However, child pornography can also be in written or audio forms, or as in this case, a "visual representation" such as a child sex doll. Child pornography in all its forms is considered to be harmful and is prohibited by the Criminal Code.
If you have any information on child pornography related criminal activities, please contact your local police detachment to make a report.
