 Significant alcohol seizure

On the morning of August 16, a boat was stopped after having come from Barge Landing and docking at Hatchet Lake Dene Nation near the community of Wollaston Lake, Sk. Investigation revealed a large amount of alcohol may have been on board for potential resale within the community.

Barge Landing provides a link between Saskatchewan Highway #905 and the community of Wollaston Lake.

There were four adults on the boat and a substantial amount of alcohol was located and seized as part of a search including 58 bottles of hard liquor, and various other bottles and cans of liquor.

All four adults were charged with:

Sell or offer to sell, display or keep beverage alcohol, under Sec. 138(1) of the Alcohol and Gaming Regulations Act.

They will appear in court in Wollaston Lake on October 14, 2020.
