Twillingate RCMP arrests a woman ten minutes after signing a driving prohibition order

Twillingate RCMP conducts a traffic stop with prohibited driver, who just signed a court order prohibiting her from driving.

A 36-year-old woman from Labrador was caught driving while prohibited less than ten minutes after she signed a court ordered driving prohibition at the Twillingate RCMP Detachment on August 27, 2020.

At approximately 12:00 p.m., police observed the woman, who just left the police station, pull out of an adjacent parking lot to the detachment in a pickup truck. A traffic stop was conducted a short distance away and the woman was arrested for driving while prohibited.

Police seized and impounded the pickup truck and the driver was released from custody. She is set to appear in court at a later date.
