Tisdale RCMP and Melfort RCMP – Suspect in firearm complaint quickly arrested

On August 29, 2020, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Tisdale RCMP responded to a firearm complaint at a residence in Tisdale. A man pointed a firearm at neighbours during an argument.

Officers from Tisdale RCMP and Melfort RCMP located the individual, contained the scene, established communication with him and arrested him without any incident at approximately 1:45 a.m. Police officers searched the residence for the firearm and located a pellet gun that was a realistic replica of an AR-15.

31-year-old Jamie Lynx of Tisdale, SK has been charged with:

  • Possession of an imitation weapon dangerous to public peace, Section 88 of the Criminal Code;
  • Assault with a weapon, Section 267(a) of the Criminal Code; and
  • Fail to comply with a release order condition.

Jamie Lynx is scheduled to next appear in court at the Melfort Provincial Court on September 3, 2020 at 9:30 a.m.
