A 27-year-old female from Conrich, Alta. has died. Sheena Bhimji of Conrich was the victim of a shooting in Conrich in the early morning of Jan. 8, 2020. An autopsy was conducted at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Calgary, where the manner of death was determined to be a homicide. The family is asking for privacy as they grieve a beloved family member.

This incident remains under ongoing investigation by RCMP Major Crimes. There is no further information available at this time.

RCMP Major Crimes investigating shooting in Conrich, Alta.

On Jan. 8, 2020, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Strathmore RCMP received a 911 call of a shooting that occurred at a residence in the Meadow Ridge area in Conrich, Alta.

A 27-year-old female from Conrich, Alta. was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries as a result of the shooting. The injured female remains in hospital in critical condition.

The suspect is still at large. No further details of the suspect are available at this time.

RCMP Major Crimes are investigating this incident and remain on scene.
