RCMP investigate fire at fish plant

Yarmouth County RCMP is investigating suspicious fire that occurred to a building on Hwy. 335 in Middle West Pubnico.

Around midnight, Yarmouth County RCMP and West Pubnico Fire Department as well as other mutual aid fire departments responded to a building fire at a fish plant. The fish plant incurred significant damage, it was not occupied at the time and no employees were injured, a man is in hospital with life-threatening- injuries believed related to the fire.

The investigation has determined the fire to be suspicious and the investigation is ongoing.
