The NT RCMP Major Crime Unit (MCU) have made progress in the investigation into the death of 22-year-old Breanna Menacho, and have arrested and charged two more suspects.
The NT RCMP MCU, in conjunction with NWT Coroner Services and support from the Yellowknife RCMP General Investigation Section and NT RCMP Forensic Identification Services, have been relentlessly investigating this file since the evening of Wednesday, May 6th, 2020, when Breanna Menacho was found deceased in a residence.
Through the thorough investigation, NT RCMP MCU was able to identify and charge 27-year-old Devon Larabie with Murder sec. 235 CC.
In the afternoon of Wednesday, May 13th, 2020, the NT RCMP MCU arrested and charged 24-year-old Jordan Nande, from Fort Liard, and 21-year-old Lisa Brule, from Yellowknife.
They both have been charged with Murder – Accessory after the fact sec. 240 CC.
"Our investigators have been working diligently to reach the progress so far. We remain in contact with Ms. Menacho's family and will continue to do so in this difficult time", states Insp. Alexandre Laporte, officer in charge of Yellowknife RCMP.
Yellowknife RCMP received a report on Wednesday, May 6th, 2020, that Breanna Menacho was missing. She was last seen at approximately 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 5th, 2020, in the Butler Road area. Yellowknife RCMP were alerted to a residence in the area of Forrest Drive and Franklin Avenue in the evening of May 6th, where they found Breanna, deceased.
Once again, the RCMP want to express their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Menacho.
Both Jordan Nande and Lisa Brule have been remanded for court appearance scheduled for Tuesday, May 19th, 2020.
