Maidstone RCMP: Search for individuals responsible for shots fired at vehicle

On July 3, 2020, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Maidstone RCMP responded to the report of shots fired at a vehicle leaving a lone gas station on Highway 17 north of Lloydminster, Alberta.

There were no injuries.

The vehicle was described to police as being a dark Ford F 150 extended cab. The vehicle was later recovered south on Highway 17 towards Lloydminster, Alberta but had no occupants.

Maidstone RCMP continue to work diligently to locate and arrest the individual(s) responsible for the incident.

At this time, police believe this was not a targeted event.

Maidstone RCMP would like to remind travelers of the importance of reporting any suspicious activity on highways and roads to police immediately.
