Hinton RCMP conducts warrant initiative and executes 40 warrants

Between Oct. 12 and Oct. 22, 2020, the Hinton RCMP, in conjunction with the Hinton RCMP General Investigation Section, took part in a planned warrant initiative to target offenders within the Hinton area.

During the ten-day initiative, Hinton RCMP arrested 15 people, while executing 40 outstanding warrants. During this initiative, Hinton RCMP laid new, additional charges on one individual with further charges pending against another male.

A 32-year-old male of Hinton, has been charged with:

  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Fail to comply with an undertaking

He was released following a judicial hearing and is scheduled to attend Hinton Provincial Court on Nov. 18, 2020.

A 26-year-old male from Hinton is also facing charges of mischief under $5,000 and uttering threats on another matter.

"The Hinton RCMP continue to focus on crime reduction efforts and this initiative sends a message that those responsible for these criminal activities will be held accountable," says Sergeant Graham Gurski, Operations NCO of the Hinton RCMP. "The Hinton RCMP will continue to identify and target repeat, problem offenders to work towards safer communities."
