Front counter services to resume at RCMP Detachments in NL

July 20, 2020
St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador

News release

Effective tomorrow, July 21, 2020, RCMP Detachments across the province will begin taking appointments for those seeking front counter services such as certificates of conduct/criminal records checks, vulnerable sector checks and fingerprinting. These services were suspended in March as a result of Covid-19.

Anyone who requires these services is asked to contact the local detachment to set up an appointment time. Services will not be provided without an appointment, unless there are emergency circumstances.

Attendees should bring their own pen and have a face-covering mask readily available, in the event it is required. These precautions are in place for the protection of all RCMP employees and the general public, in accordance with public health guidelines and recommendations. Further instructions will be provided upon confirmation of an appointment.

RCMP NL continues to fulfill its mandate to protect public safety, enforce the law and ensure the delivery of priority policing services in Newfoundland and Labrador.
