Following a head-on fatal collision on the Trans-Canada Highway (TCH) west of Goobies, an 18-year-old St. John's man is deceased, his 16-year-old passenger and another 18-year-old driver are injured.

The driver of the car died at the scene and his passenger was seriously injured. The driver of the SUV was pinned inside the vehicle and was safely removed by firefighters using the jaws of life.
