On July 26 at 1:20 a.m., members of Victoria District RCMP responded to a complaint that a man was injured after being stabbed by another man. The injuries were serious but non life threatening and the victim was airlifted to hospital by LifeFlight.
The suspect was identified and arrested later that day. The 23-year-old man from Wagmatcook is facing charges of Aggravated Assault, and Assault with a Weapon. Police obtained a search warrant for his residence and seized a number of items as evidence. He is being held in custody pending a court appearance in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court today.
The investigation is ongoing.
