Update – Video footage of hit and run collision in Gretna

On September 30, 2020, at approximately 10:30 pm, Pembina Valley RCMP responded to the scene of a hit-and-run, where a 16-year-old female was struck by a vehicle while out for a jog. The video below captures the moment of impact. It should be noted that the collision occurred around 8:00 pm, but was not reported until later that night.

Police continue to look for a silver crossover style SUV or minivan that has visible damage on the passenger side bumper and possibly along the passenger side. The damage could be minor or significant. The vehicle has narrow tail lights that wrap around the side of the vehicle.

Pembina Valley RCMP continue to investigate the hit and run collision that occurred on September 30, 2020, in Gretna, Manitoba, where a 16-year-old female was injured.

Police are looking for a silver crossover style SUV or minivan. The vehicle will have visible damage on the passenger side front bumper and possibly along the passenger side from where the vehicle struck the victim. The damage could be as minor as scraped paint, or there could be more significant damage.

The vehicle has narrow tail lights that wrap around the side of the vehicle.

On September 30, 2020, at approximately 10:30 pm, Carman RCMP received a report of a possible hit and run on Pieper Avenue in Gretna, Manitoba. A 16-year-old female had gone for a run and not returned home. She was located by friends. She was seriously injured and transported to hospital.

When officers attended the scene, it became apparent that a vehicle versus pedestrian collision had occurred on Pieper Avenue, and the female had been struck.

Police continue to investigate. RCMP are asking anyone with information to call the Carman RCMP at 204-745-6760, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, or secure tip online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.

The female remains in hospital in stable but critical condition.
