Today shortly after 4:00 pm a Cape Dorset man was taken into custody by Police after an extended stand off near the Cape Dorset dump and mountain area.
V Division Containment Team along with V Division Crisis Negotiators were flown into the community to assist Cape Dorset RCMP in the dynamic incident that quickly unfolded. Fortunately, there are no injuries reported as a result of the situation. RCMP would like to thank the community for their cooperation, patience and understanding during this incident.
