Burin Peninsula RCMP is investigating an armed robbery that took place at the Mini Mart on Forest Road in Marystown.
On March 30, 2020, at approximately 8:00 p.m., police received the report of an armed robbery in progress. A man entered the store armed with an edged weapon and demanded cash and cigarettes.
The man was wearing bright-colored mask, a black bomber style jacket, grey jogging pants, and black boots. He fled the scene on foot and was last seen on Forest Rd turning onto Thompson Street.
The investigation is continuing.
