Wha'Ti RCMP conducting a Search and Rescue for a missing plane

January 30, 2019
Wha'Ti, Northwest Territories

News release

Northwest Territories RCMP are investigating after receiving a report of a missing aircraft.

Earlier today, an airline reported that one of their flights from Yellowknife to Wha'Ti did not arrive as scheduled.

JRCC has been engaged and between the two organizations multiple resources are being deployed in efforts to locate the missing aircraft. Inclement weather is currently playing a factor in the search efforts and the RCMP wish to remind the general public not to engage in any self-deployed searches.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP directly. Pending the on-going investigation, no further information is available for release at this time.
