Watson Lake man facing multiple charges

On Thursday September 12, 2019, Watson Lake RCMP executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA). During the course of the search at a residence on Stubenberg Boulevard in Watson Lake, a quantity of suspected crack cocaine was seized. Also located were two mountain bikes that had been stolen from a tourist's vehicle while parked at a local motel the day before. RCMP are following up on two additional recovered bikes that are believed to have been stolen as well.

Robin Laflamme, a 40-year-old resident of Watson Lake, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with the following:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine) Section 5(2) CDSA
  • Trafficking (Cocaine) Section 5(1) CDSA
  • Fail to Comply with an Undertaking Section 145 (5.1) Criminal Code
  • Possession of Stolen Property X 2 Section 354(1)(a) Criminal Code

Mr. Laflamme has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday September 18, 2019 in Whitehorse.
