Three men charged in drug trafficking investigation

Three men have been charged with Conspiracy to Traffic Cocaine following a 7-month Joint Force Operation lead by the RCMP Enfield Street Crime Enforcement Unit.

Between April 11 and April 13, three homes and a business in Hants and Colchester counties were searched in relation to the investigation. The homes are located on Hwy 224, Shubenacadie East, Colchester County; Hwy 2, Shubenacadie, Hants County; and Mill Village Rd., Hants County. The business is also located on Mill Village Rd.

The search warrants were executed and arrests made with assistance from Enfield RCMP, Halifax District RCMP, Pictou County Integrated SCEU (Pictou County RCMP, New Glasgow Regional Police Service, Westville Police Service and Stellarton Police Service), Halifax District Integrated SCEU, Colchester Integrated SCEU, RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime, Truro Police Service, Halifax Regional Police and CISNS. The searches resulted in the seizure of cocaine, cash, firearms and vehicles.

Stephen Guy Lively, 32-years-old, of Shubenacadie, Shawn Kenneth Banfield, 35-years-old, of Lantz and ‎Adrian Russell Nibby, 36-years-old, of Mill Village, were arrested without incident and have each been charged with Conspiracy to Traffic Cocaine. An additional search will be conducted and further charges are expected. ‎

The men were remanded and will appear in Shubenacadie Provincial Court on Monday, April 15, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. The investigation is ongoing. ‎
