RCMP NL, in partnership with D.A.R.E (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) International, is training 27 police officers over this week and next to deliver sessions to school children from kindergarten though grade 12 to equip them to resist peer pressure and avoid involvement in drugs and violence. Participants taking part are from police agencies in Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and British Columbia.
Members of the media are invited to RCMP Headquarters on Friday, September 27 at 1:00 p.m. to see the training in action. Harry Lawrenson, National Director of D.A.R.E.
