Twillingate RCMP investigating stolen vehicles in Twillingate and Summerford

In the early morning hours of May 13, 2018, officers of the Twillingate RCMP responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision in the town of Summerford.

While enroute, police came upon a second motor vehicle collision on Route 340, approximately one kilometre south of the town of Twillingate. One man was taken to hospital from the scene where he was treated and released.

Police investigation determined that both vehicles were stolen. The vehicles have been impounded for analysis by the RCMP Forensic Identification Section for further investigation. At this time, it appears that both thefts are related.

The RCMP is dedicated to ensuring the safety of our communities and would like to remind the public to remove all valuables from their vehicles and to ensure the doors are locked. Do not leave your vehicle's keys inside your car.
