Three men charged in connection with home invasion and shooting

On January 15, 2018, around 2 a.m., the Neguac Detachment of the Northeast District RCMP received a report of a home invasion on Bayview Drive, Esgenoôpetitj First Nation, by two men in masks. A 23-year-old man suffered a serious but non-life threatening gunshot wound during the incident.

On January 25 and 26, 2018, police arrested three men in Burnt Church, N.B. All three men appeared in Miramichi Provincial Court on January 26, 2018.

22-year-old Michael Vienneau and 22-year-old Christopher Ward, both from Esgenoôpetitj First Nation, have each been charged with robbery with a firearm.‎

22-year-old Adam Drysdelle from Village Saint-Laurent has also been charged with robbery with a firearm.

All three men have been remanded in custody pending a bail hearing on February 2.
