Physical Altercation leads to the arrest of a man from Marystown

Burin Peninsula RCMP have arrested a 57-year-old man from Marystown involved in a physical altercation on July 5, 2018. He is currently being held in custody and will appear in Provincial Court later this afternoon.

As a result of the physical altercation, a 59-year-old man from Marystown was air lifted to the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's, with life-threatening injuries. He is currently in serious but stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
