Pangnirtung – Illicit alcohol and marihuana seized

On March 13, 2018 at 4:00 pm Pangnirtung RCMP members attended the Pangnirtung Airport to investigate a tip of illegal liquor entering the community.

As a result of the investigation, RCMP seized ten 60 oz bottles of liquor and approximately 1161 grams of marihuana destined for resale on the streets of Pangnirtung. The investigation is ongoing, as of yet no charges have been laid in the matter.

The Pangnirtung RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance in this file. Those who traffic illicit drugs and prohibited alcohol destroy lives, homes and communities. The Pangnirtung RCMP remains fully committed to enforcing laws against illicit drugs and alcohol to their fullest extent.
