G Division's top Mountie's led by example on Pink Shirt Day by sporting pink uniform shirts and thus supported members within the detachment in wearing pink.

"The support and encouragement of senior management here at G Division Headquarters in Yellowknife is amazing, and their dedication to initiatives such as Pink Shirt Day are examples of pro-active, positive, community based policing at the highest levels," says Cst. Heather Cosenzo.

The message of "stop bullying" was clear at the Yellowknife RCMP Detachment on February 28th. RCMP members attended schools, as well as all calls to service wearing pink, in what is hoped to become an annual occurrence here in Yellowknife.
