The Northeast District RCMP is warning the public to be on the alert following a break, enter, and theft at the Restigouche County SPCA in Dalhousie.
Sometime between 9:00 p.m. on July 9, 2017, and the early morning hours of July 10, 2017, one or more people entered the business and stole two safes. One of the safes contained an undisclosed amount of cash and the second contained drugs used to euthanize animals. One of the drugs stolen is T-61, which is an extremely lethal drug that is for veterinary use only. Anyone who has it or suspects they may have it is warned not to use it as it will likely kill them.
Police have been investigating the incident and are now looking for information from the public that could further the investigation.
