Man arrested in Port Aux Basques following execution of drug search warrant

On May 11, 2017, Port aux Basques RCMP arrested a 52-year-old man following the execution of a search warrant on a residence in the town. Officers were assisted in the search by the RCMP Police Dog Service.

A quantity of Cocaine, Marihuana, hash oil, money and a firearm were seized from the home.

The man, from Port Aux Basques, is facing nine drug charges as well as two firearms related charges.

He has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Port Aux Basques Provincial Court on August 16, 2017.

Newfoundland and Labrador RCMP are reminding the public that no street drug is safe. The RCMP will continue to investigate drug activity in our communities.
