On October 1, 2017 at 5:06 a.m. the East Prince RCMP responded to a structure fire on Route 6 in Margate, PE.
When police arrived at the two storey home it was fully engulfed in flames, and the New London and Kensington Fire Departments were on scene extinguishing the blaze. The lone occupant of the home and his pets escaped without injury. The home was destroyed.
The cause of the early morning blaze is being investigated by the East Prince RCMP and the Provincial Fire Marshall's office.
