Calls for service

Whether urgent or non-urgent, every call for service is important. And just like a hospital, we triage calls to ensure the most serious incidents are dealt with first.

Emergencies

If you have an urgent need requiring police response, call 911.

Examples of urgent requests:

  • Incidents involving serious injury or death
  • Incidents where lives are in danger
  • Major crimes that are in progress

Non-emergencies

If your matter isn't urgent, contact your local RCMP detachment or report a crime online.

Examples of non-urgent requests:

  • Minor vehicle collision with no injuries
  • Lost items
  • Computer hacking, identity theft or phone fraud

You can help keep your neighbourhood safe by reporting suspicious activity to police or Crime Stoppers. To discuss concerns about crime in your community, ask to speak with your detachment commander.
