Parades

Weather permitting, all parades take place on the historic Sleigh Square at the RCMP Academy, “Depot” Division, in Regina. In case of inclemment weather, the alternative location is the "Depot" Division Drill Hall.

Sergeant Major’s Parade

The Sergeant Major’s Parade includes a roll call and inspection of the troops, accompanied by the Cadet Band.

  • Date: Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays, year round
  • Time: 12:45–1:20 p.m.
  • Location: Sleigh Square, RCMP Academy, “Depot” Division (weather permitting) or the “Depot” Division Drill Hall

Graduation Parade

As each troop completes their training, they earn the right to wear the classic red serge and lead the above-mentioned Sergeant Major's Parade. The performance includes a dismounted cavalry drill demonstration by the graduating troop.

Sunset-Retreat Ceremony

  • Date: Canada Day (July 1) and each subsequent Tuesday until mid August
  • Time: 6:45–7:30 p.m.

On July 6, 2010, Depot will hold an expanded Sunset Retreat Ceremony to celebrate the division’s 125th anniversary. This ceremony will pay tribute to Depot’s history with special participation by representatives from the Fort Walsh and Fort Battleford National Historic Sites and the RCMP Pipes and Drums Band.
