Jeffrey Paul Emery
Wanted on Canada-wide warrant for aggravated assault.
On April 13 2004, during a domestic argument with his common-law wife, Jeffrey Paul Emery poured a bottle of hairspray over her then set her on fire. She suffered third-degree burns to her legs, torso, arms and face and much of her hair was burned away. Emery refused to take her to the hospital. North Vancouver RCMP were alerted to the incident more than a month later when a relative contacted police. Emery was arrested, but absconded in December 2004 during an adjournment of his court case. He was convicted in absentia of aggravated assault and a Canada-Wide Warrant was issued for his arrest.
Emery has contacts in British Columbia and Ontario. He has worked as a handyman and is particularly proficient at working on boats. Police believe Emery may be living near a boating community. He has a medical condition that requires him to take medication regularly. It is very likely that he obtains and fills out prescriptions on a regular basis.
Working in conjunction with North Vancouver RCMP Detachment.
